Simply put, my Art Adventure Abroad is just that. We are a small group of artists (and interested non-artists) who wish to experience the culture, sites and foods of another country! We gather photographs, sketches, paint and use other fun materials as we learn how to make an art journal! It’s great fun, easy for non-arties to do and is a unique record of your adventure! We will make art journals with special ideas for each page. Primarily we use our time to see the area. Each day upon our return “home” at our temporary residence we have time for instruction and creating! Even the spouses have fun.

From charming villages and bustling market days to sunflower fields, ancient stone buildings, and rolling countryside, the Périgord and Quercy regions of France offer endless inspiration. Along the way, we’ll capture images with our cell phone cameras, gather ephemera and collage materials, and transform them into layered artworks that capture not just what we saw, but how it felt to be there. My approach to teaching is rooted in joy, curiosity, and connection. I love helping artists loosen up, trust their instincts, and rediscover the freedom that comes from creating without perfectionism. It’s an unforgettable blend of art, travel, friendship, and creative discovery in one of the most beautiful regions of France.
