Pen & Watercolour Sketching with Patty Edge — The Sketching Doc

Join Patty for relaxed, inspiring days of pen and watercolour sketching in the beautiful villages, landscapes and architecture of the Périgord.

Using a clear step-by-step approach, Patty will help you tackle your chosen scene with confidence — from finding an interesting composition and deciding what to include, to building expressive linework and adding fresh, lively watercolour.

You’ll learn how to simplify what you see, use colour and shadows effectively and add depth and character without overworking your sketch. Patty will demonstrate her process along the way and provide plenty of individual guidance, helping you develop your own way of seeing and sketching rather than simply copying a particular style.

The emphasis is on learning, experimenting and enjoying the process in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, with plenty of time to sketch the wonderful surroundings of the Périgord.
