2025 art workshops in France

If you’re looking for 2025 art workshops, the Perigord & Quercy regions are CRIMINALLY underrated, especial for painting workshops in France. Yup, I said it. RIGHT NOW is the best time to take advantage of the unspoilt landscapes of medieval villages perched on top of dramatic cliffs, rolling hills covered in vineyards growing the emperors’ wine and acres upon acres of lavender, sunflower & poppy fields.

The difference between seasons creates a completely different atmosphere. Different smells, feelings & foods provide the ingredients for a completely different workshop.

April and May bring the joy and excitement of spring. Lots of flowers and activity from the songbirds and other wild animals. Fields full of blooming poppies as a result of stubborn farmers who refuse to spray horrible pesticides all over their cereal fields. As a result, their ground looks more like poppy fields than cereal fields, which is of course to our benefit!

June & July pave the way for the incredibly vibrant purple shades on our 2500+ lavender plants in full flower as well as the vivid yellows on the fields of sunflowers covering the flood plains in the valley of the Dordogne.

The ringing of September and October’s church bells bring an end to the summer season & a calm tranquillity. However, the summer weather lingers… Days are still relatively long and the warmth of the summer still emanates from the ground. The biggest change comes from the vineyards. The 50 shades of summer greens give way to the golden brown shades of autumn with bulging purple grapes.

Every year, we collaborate with professional artists from the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom to host workshops in the beautiful regions of the Perigord & Quercy in South-West France. We always try to have artists from different disciplines. Pastels, watercolours, oils, acrylics and mixed media.
