A typical retreat package includes instruction time each day and day trips to surrounding villages and interesting spots. The day trips can range from just a short few minute drive up to an hour away.
3. What is the schedule like for a typical retreat?
Guests have breakfast at 8:00 am, which includes fresh pastries, croissants, cheese, deli meats, homemade yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit. They will then leave on an excursion for anywhere between a few hours and a full day and then back to the studio. Guests can bring their own supplies to plein air drawing or painting.

The retreat cost depends on the teaching artist. .
5. How do I make a reservation for a retreat?
You can book your spot directly on our website by completing our booking form and making your deposit via credit card.
6. What is the cancellation policy for retreat reservations?
A non-refundable deposit of €1000 is required. The balance is due at a minimum of 60 days prior to the start of the retreat. If payment is not received, your spot will be canceled without notice.
7. Is transportation to and from the retreat center provided?
No, guests are required to make their own way to Gourdon train station, where we will pick you up and drop you off. We are more than happy to advise on routes and timings.
8. When should i arrive / depart before and after the retreat?
You should plan to arrive no early than 13:30 on the arrival day and leave on the morning of the departure day.
9. What is the lodging like at Perigord Retreats, and what amenities are included?
There are two houses at Perigord Retreats. One house consists of 6 bedrooms with accompanying bathrooms, and the other structure has 4 bedrooms. Both houses have varying amenities like kitchens and sitting areas.

There are a few tabletop and standing small easels available, and guests can share a tabletop with another artist. Some scissors and other small things are available, but guests should plan on bringing most everything they need.

The Perigord Retreats site and surrounding villages are not wheelchair-friendly, so guests with mobility issues may encounter difficulties accessing some areas. However, the studio and one bedroom at Perigord Retreats are located on the ground floor, making them more accessible.

Yes, guests have access to an unheated indoor pool and a medium-sized hot tub. Please note that wearing a bathing suit is mandatory.

While some basic supplies can be found in town, options are limited, and guests will need to arrange with Harrison for a ride. There are no art supplies available, and the local bookstore only carries a few miscellaneous papers, pens, and a small selection of watercolor pans.
