Taking the beauty of nature and her favorite objects, she works with paints, mark-making tools, and an intuitive spirit to create abstract fields of flowers. Fields of Flowers: A Painting Journey in Southern France!
Immerse yourself in the magic and beauty of the French countryside this October! In this inspiring retreat, you’ll learn to paint vibrant abstract fields of flowers, drawing inspiration from your imagination and the stunning surroundings.
Each day will start with breakfast and an outing to a local destination, where we will explore and absorb the splendor of France.
Each afternoon, you will enjoy a fun blend of exercises, demonstrations, and dedicated painting time. You will also receive personalized coaching and feedback every step of the way.
Discover the joy of mark-making, experimenting with a blend of writing and scratching tools to unlock countless approaches to creating cohesive artwork. You’ll learn to harmonize your acrylic colors, build captivating compositions, and most importantly, loosen up and lose yourself in the creative process.
Throughout the retreat, you’ll explore the power of layering, master color harmony, and create multiple art pieces.

One of the most beautiful villages in France. Incredibly picturesque. Perfect for shopping & painting.
Bio:
Betty Franks was born in Toronto, Canada, and raised in San Jose, California. She is a self-taught abstract artist who started painting when she turned 50. Although it seems late in life to take up painting, the timing was just right for her. After a long career in customer service management, she was ready to unleash her creative side.
