FULLY BOOKED
Catherine is teaming up with us for the third time in a year.
Join me for an unforgettable 9 days of art, adventure, and inspiration in the heart of the Perigord, France! We’ll be staying in a beautiful stone property — quinessential of the region — the perfect setting to unwind, create, and connect.
Each day, we’ll venture out to explore some of the Perigord & Quercy’s most captivating sights: the perfectly preserved mediaeval villages, the beautiful landscapes and a few other surprises!
Our daily excursions will fuel our creativity back in the studio, where we’ll translate the energy and rhythm of the Perigord and Quercy into our artwork.
Expect 9 days filled with painting, laughter, delicious food, and the magic that happens when artists come together in an extraordinary place.

9 Days of Creativity, Exploration & Creative Renewal
Escape to the sun-kissed south of France for a transformative 9-day art retreat designed to inspire, refresh, and reconnect you with your creative spirit. Set in a charming French village surrounded by vineyards, stone paths, and golden light, this retreat blends immersive art-making with rich cultural experiences and plenty of relaxation.
Your Time With Catherine
Our retreat will adapt to all levels of collage artists, from beginners to experienced alike, as we explore the beauty of the Perigord & Quercy while we collect collage materials and photograph as we go. Our laid back studio time will be balanced by plenty of relaxation.
The variety of sights, sounds and delicious food will be nothing but inspiring as you document your journey, providing plenty of material for art even after you return home.
With a small group, I can offer one-on-one attention, even as non-painters can lounge or explore.
We will experience:
– Back history and excursions to enrich your art and soul
– Studio time to capture all we’ve seen
– New friendships, delicious food and the care and support of Perigord Retreats’ staff
– An adventure in a criminally underrated part of France that is full of cultural and religious history
– A retreat that focuses as much on exploration and experience as it does on art instruction.
A Day out Looks Like this:
You’ll start your day with a breakfast of freshly baked French pastries, homemade yoghurt, or fresh fruit, which you can enjoy in the conservatory as you watch the sun rise. We’ll head out around 9 am when the places we visit are quiet and the weather is perfect.
You can spend a morning exploring a new place by walking around the side streets to get a feel for the local atmosphere or by sitting in a quiet spot to watch the world go by. There’s always a beautiful picnic lunch of fresh salads, quiches, homemade cookies, and much more waiting in the shade when you’re ready to eat (wine, of course!).
Then, in the afternoons, we generally head back to the studio for some creative time as well as some time to use the pool, nap or find a quiet spot for reading, sunbathing, painting or chatting.
In the evening, we put on a homemade, locally sourced 3-course meal complete with wine.
After dinner, you’re free to head back to the studio to create, enjoy the sunset or use the hot tub. There are plenty of little walks to go on, lots of nature to experience or time to catch up with family and friends.
We design our workshops so that everyone gets what they want out of their time with us.
