Join me for an unforgettable week of art, adventure, and inspiration in the heart of Marrakech! We’ll be staying in a beautiful riad — a serene oasis filled with color, light, and texture — the perfect setting to unwind, create, and connect.
Each day, we’ll venture out to explore some of Morocco’s most captivating sights: the enchanting Jardin Majorelle and Yves Saint Laurent Museum, the lively Medina with its winding alleys and hidden treasures, the breathtaking Atlas Mountains, and more.
Our daily excursions will fuel our creativity back in the studio, where we’ll translate the energy and rhythm of Morocco into our artwork.
Expect a week filled with painting, laughter, delicious food, and the magic that happens when artists come together in an extraordinary place.

Our retreat will adapt to all levels of collage artists, from beginners to experienced alike, as we tour the beauty of Morocco while we collect collage materials and photograph as we go. Our laid back studio time will be balanced by plenty of relaxation in the poolside setting. The variety of sights, sounds and spice will be nothing but inspiring as you document your journey, providing plenty of material for art even after you return home.
With a small group, I can offer one-on-one attention, even as non-painters can lounge or explore.
We will experience:
– Back history and excursions to enrich your art and soul
– Studio time to capture all we’ve seen
– A plein air day featuring mountains or desert
– New friendships, delicious food and the care and support of Perigord Retreats’ staff
– Moroccan adventure, time at the seaside, downtime to savor our luxurious home for the week

Potential Itinerary
Flights – there are direct flights to Marrakesh from Houston, San Francisco, Newark, Atlanta, and Chicago. For our Canadian friends: direct flights are also available from Toronto and Montreal.
Day 1: Arrival at the airport, transfer by private car to the domaine. Settle in, relax and explore the property. Lunch (if required) and evening meal at the domaine.
Day 2: Visit to the ‘Jardin Majorelle’ + Yves Saint Laurent museum
Day 3: Full-day trip to Essaouira (coastal town)
Day 4: Collaging at the domaine, optional trip into Marrakesh
Day 5: Visit to la medina in the morning + Visit to la place Jemaa-el-fna in the evening
Day 6: Visit to la Koutoubia
Day 7: Landscape photography + studio time
Day 8: Breakfast followed by departure for the airport via private car.
There are equally lots of other activities we can organise depending on your group. Camel rides, a visit to a Berber village, and other historical and cultural sites to visit in Marrakesh. Pottery or rug making. Atlas valley, ourika valley. Art galleries. Visit to old Jewish quarters.

Daily trips to tailored locations chosen by the artist and their group. Opportunities to explore, shop, paint plein air or gather inspiration for studio work.
Tuition
Every day you will receive group and one-to-one tuition outside or in the studio in the form of demonstrations and individual feedback.
Food
Fresh baked goods, fresh fruit salads & continental style breakfasts every day. Locally produced, freshly cooked lunches and evening meals. We will visit a couple of restaurants.

7 Nights lodging on ourluxurious domaine with use of the heated swimming pool as well as access to the olive grove and surrounding property.
