A very special 12th Century mill in the middle of nowhere.

10 Centuries of history

The mill was built in 1292 on a small, crystal-clear river that runs predominantly underground. It has been operational ever since! It has been put under siege and attacked several times throughout the centuries and because of that, they built in some very creative defense mechanisms.

Private Plein Air Painting

After our guided tour of the mill, we have the property to ourselves over lunchtime so that we can enjoy a private picnic and sit in the dappled shade, painting one of the many compositions.
