The poppy is a bit of an oxymoron in our eyes. To most people, it represents peace, death & eternal sleep… To us, it brings the excitement of spring, abundance & joy among our groups of artists.
To the local farmers, it represents frustration and eternal struggle for domination – their crops of wheat, barley and grass in a never-ending battle against the ‘weeds’ in the form of bright red poppies.
