Lori Siebert Workshop: 26 August – 04 September 2025

ABOUT LORI SIEBERT

When asked to define her artistic style, Lori Siebert says she likes to be a bit of a chameleon. Constantly experimenting with different styles and mediums feeds her insatiable curiosity. She has a very whimsical design sense and loves to play with colour to give each collection that and she designs its own unique personality. She started taking private art lessons at the young age of 7 and continued to study art throughout high school. This led to a degree in graphic design from the University of Cincinnati. She opened her own design firm just 3 years out of college in 1987. Her firm, Olika Studios, has developed branding and design programs for influential clients such as Target, Bath & Body Works, Nickelodeon and Universal Studios.

Lori began the art licensing arm of her business 15 years ago and now works with several top manufacturers in the gift and home decor industry. Her client list includes Demdaco, Creative Co-op, Studio M, Lang and many more. Her licensed products have been sold through many vital retailers and small gift shops throughout the United States and Canada. She has been featured in “Where Women Create” and “Where Women Create Business.” She is also the co-founder of ArtBizJam and ArtBizJam Abundance, which provide helpful business tips and networking opportunities for women artists. And, she hosts and teaches at several creative retreats each year including her first European retreat in southern France in 2019. She is currently creating a fun new series of online courses with her daughter, Kenzie called “Creatively Curious Club.”

She creates every day, dividing her time between her home studio in Kentucky…sewing, sculpting, drawing, painting and the Olika Studio office… meeting with clients and developing concepts with her very talented design team. Her husband, Steve, is her business partner and she has two children… Kenzie (who is a designer and works closely with her mom at Olika) and Tanner (who is a mechanical engineer.) She also has two grandchildren who light up her life!!!

In this adventurous workshop, Lori Siebert will help you to foster your childlike curiosity and the joy of discovery. As we explore the medieval villages, take in the beautiful countryside and local wildlife, shop at the local markets… Lori will assign fun creative challenges that will bring these magical experiences into your work.

This workshop is perfect for everyone from beginners to advanced artists. Lori loves to encourage and foster creativity in everyone!

She will provide fun research, teaching and demonstrations throughout each day of the workshop, with a variety of mediums including watercolour and acrylics. You will enjoy the building of layers into mixed media collage pieces that are authentically you.

Your 10 days will be a delicious experience and focused dive into your creativity. You will create long-lasting memories from the delightful excursions…from the profound beauty of the area and from the laughter, creating, sharing and possibly some song and dance with your kindreds.

We will work on location as we explore the area, as well as take reference photos and collect collage fodder for use in the studio later and to develop your mixed media pieces.

Our time together will be a nurturing blend of being out in our environment, sketching and gathering inspiration, and devoted studio time and one on one instruction to allow you to grow your skills, explore new techniques, and relish in your creativity.

When you arrive, you can unpack and relax, and settle into your new home for the next 10 days – surrounded by stunning gardens and dedicated studio space. You will be sharing the local cultural experiences and excursions with other creatives…. People who GET YOU!!

Lori will guide you through many super fun projects, inspired by where we are and what we are doing each day. She will also encourage you to find what lights you up and how to bring that into your work. You leave with more confidence, new knowledge about creativity enhancing exercises and techniques… and lots of precious memories and new friendships
