WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

This will be my first time in Africa and I come with the mind & eye of a beginner, an open heart, and a deep desire to create alongside you. Together we will explore this magical land as curious travelers, gatherers of memories, and seekers of creative depth. I will explore this place with the eye of a writer, poet, printmaker, and multi-passionate creative, and I’ll invite you to do the same. This retreat is for anyone longing to reconnect with their inner voice, ignite their creative spirit, and step into sacred authorship of their life.

You do not need to be a trained artist or even call yourself an artist, you just need to have a curious heart, patience with yourself (and others), and a longing to live a life filled with precious moments only found by stepping into the mystery.

Let’s gather in community. Let’s wander, make art, and tell stories that heal & illuminate our wisdom.

DURING THE RETREAT

We’ll be staying just outside of Marrakech in a peaceful villa set among olive groves, with views stretching toward the Atlas Mountains and the Agafay Desert. You can expect comfortable accommodations, nourishing farm-to-table meals made with local ingredients, a dedicated studio space available throughout the week, and time to rest by the pool when you need a pause. From excursions into the bustling city to quieter moments in the mountains or desert, this retreat offers both stimulation and ease.

During our time together, I’ll guide you through activities that open your senses and invite your intuition to amplify. When we’re out exploring, we’ll photograph, document, pay attention for colors, patterns, and textures, as a way of gathering personal activations for later discovery. We will experience the  markets, gardens, architecture, and daily life of Marrakech. Back in the studio, we’ll write, collage, share, and experience the day through each other’s eyes. The goal won’t be to have finished pieces when we leave, but to have lots of sparks to light up the Soul for years to come. All levels are welcome, and no prior SoulCollage®, photography, or writing experience is necessary.

This retreat focuses on writing beyond documenting, daily traveling through the senses, allowing yourself to awaken that which can only be lit by the sights & sounds of a new place.
