Your Time With Charlotte

Each day, we’ll venture to a different iconic location—from ancient châteaux perched on cliffs to tranquil rivers winding through historic villages. As you paint and sketch on-site, you’ll learn to interpret the play of light on weathered stone, the rich hues of the landscape, and the atmospheric charm of these storied settings.

Guided by Charlotte Hamilton, a skilled artist, you’ll receive personalized instruction on plein air techniques, including composition, color harmony, and capturing fleeting light conditions.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced painter, this workshop offers an inspiring environment to expand your artistic practice and refine your skills.

Evenings will be spent in thoughtful critiques and engaging discussions with fellow artists, sharing insights and inspiration. You’ll also get a chance to finish or work on paintings from the day’s outing.

With the ancient villages and landscapes as your backdrop, this retreat promises a unique opportunity to not only create art but to step back in time and experience the magic of Périgord firsthand.

By the end of the retreat, you’ll leave with a portfolio of work and memories of painting in one of the most captivating regions of France.

I hope you will join me in this journey.
